Collision on Kiel Canal

The 'Celtic Endeavour' (IMO: 9346706) was in collision with the ' Aguimes' on the Kiel Canal on the Kiel Canal at km 58,5 near Schülp on the night of Nov 4, 2026. There was significant damage to the port side bow, the deck crane and the stern. A liferaft was destroyed and had to be replaced. The 'Aguimes' has been berthed at the railway station in Brunsbüttel, where it remainedstationaryas of Nov 7. The 'Celtic Endeavour', which was damaged at the starboard side foreship, berthed in the North Port of Kiel, where it remained stationary at the Voith Quay as of Nov 7. Engine failure in Kiel Canal

The "Aguimes" was disabled on April 10, 2026, at 4:34 p.m. near Schirnau in the Kiel Canal. The cause was likely an engine problem. The stricken vessel was towed to the Rendsburg district port. After repairs, it left the port again on April 13 and continued on its way to Rotterdam with an ETA as of April 14.
