Engine failure in Istanbul Strait

The ' Ani Star' suffered an engine breakdown in front of Kandilli in the Istanbul Strait, en route from Istanbul to Constanta on the night of Sep 20, 2026. Under the coordination of the Istanbul Vessel Traffic Services Center, the bulk carrier was taken in tow by the tugs 'Kurtarma 3' (IMO: 9335939) and 'Kurtarma 6' (IMO: 9463176), and subsequently pulled to the Büyükdere Anchorage, where it was safely moored in pos. 41° 09' N 029° 03' E. On Sep 27, it anchored in pos. 40° 58' N 028° 53' E off Istanbu, where it remained stationary as of Oct 8. Report with video: https://x.com/kiyiemniyet/status/2101840068017004980

Engine faulure in Novorossyisk

The 'Serra' suffered a failure of its engine system along with emergency support pumps at Novorossiysk on April 4, 2021. The vessel's departure permission was thereupon cancelled by the Harbour Master until completion of repairs by its crew and an inspection by state surveyors. After finishing its cargo operations, the vessel shifted from inner port to the anchorage where it moored on April 7 at 8.20 a.m. in pos. 44° 39.63' N 037° 53.61' E while repairs were continued.
