The 'Antipaxos', enroute from Santos to Singapore,has arrived off Jamestown, St. Helena, to medevac a crew member. On May 10, 2026, Cape Town Radio had broadcast an urgent PAN PAN signal, alerting all vessels in the vicinity that a crew member aboard the bulk carrier was in desperate need of medical oxygen at a position in the South Atlantic. esponding to the critical nature of the situation, the ship immediately diverted from her original course and set a direct heading for St. Helena. The vessel came into sight from the South-South West, eventually rounding South-West Point on May 18 shortly after 1 p.m. and reached a position approximately 1.2 nautical miles from the shore at around 3:06 p.m. Local authorities attended aboard and disembarked the patient, who was transferred to a hospital.
