The "Aspen Arrow" rescued four Palawan fishermen in the South China Sea off the southern Palawan coast. They were missing since last week and picked up by the "Aspen Arrow", which came from Bandar Abbas, Iran, off Balabac Island at around 9 a.m. on Jan 7, 2011. The vessel was on its way to China with a load of iron ore. The Philippine Coast Guard was notified of the four fishermen on Saturday and immediately directed its search and rescue vessel BRP "Edsa Dos" in Manila to rendezvous with the "Aspen Arrow" off Corregidor Island on Jan 9 for the transfer and medical check of the four rescued fishermen. They said they encountered rough weather condition and were drifting for four days without food and water when they were rescued by the "Aspen Arrow". odin.tc
