Grounding off Rubbestadneset

The 'Asper Victoria', with four people on board, ran aground off Rubbestadneset on July 3, 2026, at 1.30 a.m. The MRCC was alerted and in turn notified the lifeboats from Stord and Haugesund, which responded to the vessel with the' Sundt' and the 'Fitjar'. Two of the four crew members were evacuated in light boats from the lifeboats, while the other two remained on the fishing vessel. There were no injuries, no water ingress, and no oil spill after the grounding. There was also no suspicion of intoxication, and the police therefore did not respond. The Coast Guard was in the area and was asked to assist. The patrol boat 'Bergen' pulled the ship off the ground and escorted it to the dock in Rubbestadneset.
