The 'Bakan' was detained on Sep 16, 2026, in the port of Constanta with four detainable deficiencies: 1209 - Certificate and Documentation - Crew Certificates - Manning specified by the minimum safe manning doc - no responsibility of RO; 1306 - Certificate and Documentation - Documents - Schedules for watchkeeping personnel - no responsibility of RO; 2103 - Structural Conditions - Stability/strength/loading information and instruments - no responsibility of RO; 4109 - Emergency Systems - Fire drills - no responsibility ofRO. The ship was released again on Sep 19 and left the port enroute to Gießen, where it was moored in pos. 40° 55' N 038° E on Sep 22.

Crew member medevaced to El Musel

On Dec 10, 2024, the 'Bakan', en route from Istanbulö to Aviles, requested the medical evacuation of a crew member of Indian nationality. The CCS Gijón of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 211, which took the patient off and transffered him to El Musel, where an ambulance was waiting to take him to the Jove hospital for further medical care.
