Fire in sauna

There has been a fire in the passenger sauna on board the Baltic Princess on March 17, 2026. The ship was docked at Värtahamnen in Stockholm, The minor fire was soon extinguished after the rescueservicesarrived. No one was injured and those on board did not need to be evacuated. Most people qere ashore shopping in Stockholm.

Medevac off Räfsnäs

The Swedish sea rescue received an alarm on Jan 20, 2026, at 10.55 p.m. from the MRCC regarding a child which had suffered injuries in a fall on board the 'Baltic Princess' and needed immediate medical treatment. The lifeboat 'Greta Dybeck' was mobilised to assist from Räfsnäs. Due to icing, the ambulance helicopter could not participate. The lifeboat approached the ferry with a speed of 34 knots. Once on scene, the only way to get the child medevaced was therefore to board the ship via the pilot gate. With a difference in level of about three meters, the child was brought down to the lifeboat at the same time as the mother climbed down the pilot ladder. The lifeboat then set course for Kapellskär where an ambulance meets up for further transport to hospital. Damage to gangway by ship's movement

Ahead of the scheduled departure of the ' Baltic Princess ' from Värtahamnen in Stockholm on the evening of Sep 23, 2025, en route to Turku, first the ferry and then a gangway moved a little. No one was injured, but there was some damage to the sheet metal. The ferry, however, has departed as normal and arrived in Turku on Sep 24.
