The operator Torghatten Nord had to cancel several departures between Sandvikvåg and Halhjem on the morning of Sep 4, 2025, due to technical problems with the "Bømlo", serving on this route. After troubleshooting, the ship was operating the route again as scheduled. .

Ferry suffered techincal trouble

On March 18, 2019, at 1.15 p.m. operator Torghatten Nord AS informed about cancellations on the Sandvikvåg-Halhjem route with the "Bastø III" until further notice due to technical problems. Five departures from Sandvikvåg and five from Halhjem, starting with the sailing at 1.30 p.m. from Halhjem and at 2.20 p.m. from Sandvikvåg were announced while work was on to resolve the technical fault. After repairs the ship returned to service with a first sailing at 3.10 p.m. from Halhjem.

Sailings deleted due to technical trouble

Several departures of the "Bastø III" between Halhjem and Sandvikvåg on the E39 had to be cancelled since Jan 21, 2019, at 4 p.m. due to technical problems of the ferry, which lasted into the night so that the operator at 6 p.m. announced that sailings including the departure from Halhjem at 8.35 p.m. and 10.15 p.m. as well as the ones from 2Sandvikvåg at 9:25 p.m. and 11:05 p.m. were deleted.
