Sailings cancelled due to technical issue

The 'Bute', serving on the route Wemyss Bay - Rothesay, suffered a technical issue on Sep 20, that required further investigations. As a consequence, the following afternoon sailings were cancelled: Departure Rothesay – 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. Departure Wemyss Bay – 4:05 p.m., 6:05 p.m., 8:05 p.m.

Sailings cancelled due to sewage system issue

The 'Bute', serving on the route Wemyss Bay - Rothesay, suffered a technical issue with the sewage treatment system on June 16. As a consequence, the following sailings had to be cancelled: Departure Rothesay – 7:00 p.m. Departure Wemyss Bay – 8:05 p.m. After the technical issue has been successfully resolved, the normal service was operated again on June 17.

Ferry suffered engine issue

The 'Bute', serving on the route Wemyss Bay - Rothesay, suffered a technical issue with the forward main engine on March 23. As a consequence, the service had to be suspended. The ferry was berthed in Rothesay, but was required to move in order for the 'Argyle' to operate. A tug assisted the 'Bute' from the linkspan berth, while the 'Argyle' operated a delayed 09:00 a.m. sailing from the port. After the issue was successfully resolved. the 'Bute' resumed its service with the 10:00 a.m. departure from Rothesay.
