Medevac off Gris Nez

In the morning of Aug 14, 2019, the CROSS Gris Nez was alerted after a crew member aboard the "Comoros Stream", which was enroute from Portsmouth to Flushing, required urgent medical care. At 07:05 a.m. the MRCC of Den-Helder relayed the information to the CROSS that the patient needed a medical evacuation from the ship which was withn the traffic separation scheme eight miles from Cape Gris-Nez. At 07:35 a.m., the CROSS deployed a Dauphin helicopter of the Navy base Le Touquet with a medical team from the SMUR on board. At 08:15 a.m. the patient was hoisted and transported to the hospital of Boulogne-sur-Mer where he was taken care of at 09:15 a.m. French report with photo: http://www.premar-manche.gouv.fr/communiques-presse/evacuation-medicale-a-bord-du-porte-conteneurs-comoros-stream
