Four bulk carriers attacked by drones

On Aug 19, 2026, four commercial ships, among them the 'Dream', were targeted by drones inside or in the vicinity of the Russian Port of Novorossiysk in a dangerous development, that once again highlighted the risks facing commercial vessels and civilian seafarers in the Black Sea. The other ships were the 'Victoria V'; which was targeted inside the port of Novorossiysk while preparing to load a cargo of wheat, the ' Fehu', which was targeted after departing from the port loaded with wheat and managed to continue its voyage despite sustaining damage, and the 'Elina B', which was targeted after loading approximately 56,000 tons of wheat in Novorossiysk and was able to continue sailing towards the Bosphorus.

The "Beks Yilmaz" suffered hull damage after it berthed in Port-Cartier, Quebec, in position 50 01.919 N, 066 47.186 W, on july 19, 2018, at 11.45 a.m. The source and extent of damage was currently unknown.
