Wed Jul 22 12:25:46 CEST 2026 Timsen

The Greek Coast Guard on July 21 issued a statement on the collision between the 'Elyros' and the 'Iosif K.' near Hania. The ferry was scheduled to sail to Piraeus with 100 passengers and 118 crew members aboard. Both vessels were initially barred from sailing pending inspections. After a damage assessment and review by a classification society, the 'Elyros' was cleared to continue its scheduled operations.
