Ferry suffered technical issue
The 'Isle of Arran', serving on the route Mallaig - Oban - Lochboisdale, suffered a technical issue on Aug 22, which required further investigations, while the ferry remained sidelined in the port of Oban. As a consequence, the service was liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
Ferry suffered stabiliser issue
The 'Isle of Arran', serving on the route Kennacraig-Islay, suffered a technical issue affecting the stabilisers of the ferry. As a consequence, the scheduled departure at 6:10 p.m. from Kennacraig was cancelled. combined with adverse weather forecast, the following sailings will be cancelled. as well as the sailings from Port Askaig on July 28 at 07:00 a.m. and from Kennacraig at 10:00 a.mn. As a result of this, the following sailings were liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice: Departure Port Askaig – 12:35 p.m., 6:05 p.m. Departure Kennacraig – 3:30 p.m. Due to the ongoing technical issue with the stabiliser, combined with adverse weather forecast, the 'Isle of Islay' operated the sailing from Kennacraig at 3:30 p.m. and from Port Askaig at 6:05 p.m.
Ferry back on the route after successful repairs and trials
Due to the ongoing technical issue affecting the fire suppression system of the 'Isle of Arran', serving on the route Oban-Craignure, the 'Coruisk' was operating an amended timetable on March 30: Departure Oban 12:15 p.m. 3:45 p.m. Departure Craignure 1:35 p.m., 5:05 p.m. All other timetabled sailings have been cancelled. The ferry was undergoing repairs in Ayr. It returned to Troon on May 3. After successful repairs and sea trials, the 'Isle of Arran' operated the following sailings on May 4: Departure Oban - 6:35 p.m. Departure Craignure - 7:55 p.m. The ferry then operated the Oban – Craignure route alongside the 'Loch Frisa' according to the summer schedule. The 'Loch Frisa' will operate the following sailings: Departure Oban – 08:35 a.m., 11:25 a.m., 5:05 p.m., 8:00 p.m. Departure Craignure – 07:10 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 12:50 p.m., 6:25 p.m. The 'Isle of Arran' will operate the following sailings: Departure Oban – 07:15 a.m., 09:45 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 3:50 p.m., 6:20 p.m.; Departure Craignure – 08:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:35 p.m., 5:05 p.m., 7:35 p.m.
