Disabled fishing vessel towed to Luarca

The 'Naveote' with six crew mebmers on board, got out of control due to a snagged gear about seven nautical miles off Luarca on Jan 28, 2026. The CCS of Salvamento Marítimo in Gijón mobilized the SAR boats 'Salvamar Capella' ((MMSI: 224040360) and LS 'Nereida' (MMSI: 224454250), which took the fishing vessel in tow amid rough seas and safely pulled it back to the port of Luarca. On May 5, 2025, the 'Naveote', with seven crew members on board, was disabled and adrift five nautical miles northeast of Lastres due to mechanical problems. The crew requested towing assistance. and the CCS Gijón of Salvamento Marítmo mobilized the SAR boat 'Salvamar Rigel', which took the vessel in tow and safely pulled it to the port of Gijón for troubleshooting.
