On Mar 19, 2016, around 6 a.m. a convoy consisting of the tugs "Gruno 2“, "Gruno 4“ and "Waterstad“ and a barge with a 4500-tons-engine room section of the cruise ship "Norwegian Joy", presently under construction at the Meyer Yard in Papenburg, allided with a dolphin on the Ems near Ditzum and later in Leer. After another tug assisted, the transport could be continued to Papenburg. The Ems between Leer and Papenburg had been barred for the transit which was delayed for two hours due to the incident.
