Two fishing vessels assisted by Salvamento Marítimo

Two troubled fishing vessels were towed on the morning of March 10, 2026, to Porto do Son and Almería by the 'Salvamar Régulus' and 'Salvamar Carina'. The 'Playa del Sol-3ª-CO-1-4-06' (MMSI: 224115990) had got disabled in the Alboran Sea off the coast of Almería, after the fishing gear had got caught in the vessel’s propeller. Unable to clear the propulsion, the vessel requested assistance. Salvamento Maritimó dispatched the 'Salvamar Carina' to assist the fishing vessel. It took the 'Playa del Sol' in tow and safely pulled it to Almería. The 'Prajo Primero-3ª-CO-7-4-05', 4 gt, was disabled in the Atlantic Ocean off A Coruña, after suffering a mechanical failure and going adrift too. Salvamento Maritimó deployed the 'Salvamar Régulus' to assist It took the 'Prajo Primero' in tow and safely pulled it to Porto do Son. No reports of injuries.
