On Sep 28, 2025, the 'River Cleanup' partially sank in the Ohio River upriver from the Anderson Ferry. Containment barricades have been set up to manage any potential fuel or oil spills until the area has been fully cleaned. The cause of the incident remained unclear at this time as weil as the question if the incident would affect the planned cleanup, scheduled for the next weekend fahead of the America's River Roots Festival..The ship is owned by the Living Lands & Waters, an organisation dedicated to river cleanups.
