The UKMTO has reported an incident involving two vessels, one of them the 'Romance', which was anchored in pos. 25° 23' N 056° 30' E, about four nautical miles west of Khasab, on Sep 10, 2026. The master of another shis reported seeing four projectiles hit two vessels around six nautical miles from his position, leading to a fire onboard one of the ships, before two projectiles struck the other vessel. No details on the status of the crew and damage to the vessel were immediately available.

ReCAAP reported: On 30 May 11 at or about 0129 hrs, a Singapore-registered tanker Dong Jiang was underway at approximately 30 nm east of Horsburgh Lighthouse (01 19.30 N, 104 54.50 E) when six robbers boarded the vessel. The robbers stole cash and other valuables before they escaped. The vessel was enroute from Tanjung Pelapas, Malaysia to Balongan, Indonesia at the time of the incident. The crew was not injured.
