Allision in Santo Tomás de Castilla Port

The 'Seaboard Pride' allided with the container m/v 'Seaboard Saturn' (IMO: 1029950) at the Santo Tomás de Castilla Port in Puerto Barrios, Izabal, on May 23, 2026, at around 3:00 p.m., It hit the port side of the moored 'Seaboard Satirm' despite tug assistance and having dropped its anchors. The extent of the damage to both vessels and the cause of the allision were currently unknown. The 'Seaboard Saturn' left the port again on May 24 enroute to Freeport with an ETA as of May 26.
