Aframax removed from sanctions list

Fri Jul 10 15:05:25 CEST 2026 Timsen

The 'Zangazur', owned by a joint venture between the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) and the state oil company SOCAR, has been removed from the United Kingdom's sanctions list. The sanctions imposed on the vessel have been completely lifted. The UK Foreign Office made this decision on July 7, 2026. According to the Azerbaijani side, this outcome was achieved through coordinated diplomatic and legal efforts by the state. Earlier, the Council of the European Union had already removed the ASCO ferry "Zagatala" and the tankers "Shusha," "Garabagh," "Khankendi," and "Sangesur" from the EU sanctions list.

Fri Nov 08 10:09:57 CET 2013 arnekiel

Commander of the Seventh Coast Guard District of Miami (Florida, USA) Rear Admiral J.H.Korn has sent his sincere appreciation to Aleksey Pchelintsev, Captain of M/V Shah Deniz (Palmali Group) for the assistance to the crewmembers of the Sailing Ship Moon Shadow in saving a person, Palmali Group says. On the afternoon of June 24, 2013, the Coast Guard Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) Miami received a report through Coast Guard Sector Miami of the S/V Moon Shadow, who reported a person on board had jumped overboard 11 nautical miles west of Cat Cay, Bahamas. The S/V Moon Shadow reported the person would not take life saving devices and was unwilling to re-embark the sailing vessel due to a domestic dispute.
