Guyana continues to strengthen its position in global crude supply chains, with multiple cargoes of Guyanese crude arriving at key refining hubs in recent weeks. For the week ending October 31, Wood Mackenzie tracking noted the first delivery of Golden Arrowhead crude at PBF’s 190,200 bpd Delaware City refinery aboard the Sea Amethyst.
This milestone follows the September launch of the One Guyana FPSO, which introduced the new grade to Guyana’s growing portfolio of light, sweet crudes. Initial loadings from the FPSO have predominantly sailed to Europe since operations began. The grade is light, with an API of 36.5 and sulphur content of 0.25%.
Golden Arrowhead’s entry underscores Guyana’s rapid evolution from an emerging producer to a strategic supplier of high-quality blends. Alongside flows to PBF, Chevron’s 290,500 bpd El Segundo plant in California and 375,200 bpd Pascagoula facility in Mississippi maintained strong intake of shipments from the South American supplier.
East Coast refiners also continue to pull Guyanese barrels. With offshore production capacity now reportedly exceeding 900,000 bpd, Guyana’s trajectory points toward deeper integration into Atlantic Basin trade flows
