Arrested vessel damaged by Russian attack

Tue Dec 23 21:23:07 CET 2025 Timsen

The arrested 'Anka', which was berthed in the port of Reni, Odesa region, was damaged as a result of the Russian attack on the region on the night of Dec 23. In early December, the National Agency for Asset Recovery and Management (ARMA) put the Anka ship up for auction. The starting price of the lot is UAH 16 million 358.5000. The vessel is owned by the FAB Petrol Doo, a company registered in Montenegro. The Dniprovsky District Court of Kyiv handed it over to the National Agency of Ukraine for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (ARMA). The Security Service of Ukraine detained the vessel on suspicion of being used by Russia to steal Ukrainian agricultural products from the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine. According to the case file, at the end of 2024, the bulk carrier exported 5,000 tons of wheat from the port of Sevastopol, which was stolen in the temporarily occupied territory of southern Ukraine. The 'Anka' was flying the flag of Tanzania. Previously, it was called Victoria. The vessel left the Moldovan port in the spring and was heading to the port of Gömlık. Ukraine to sell Russian shadow fleet shoü that transported stolen Ukrainian grain from occupied Crimea

Tue Jul 29 12:21:27 CEST 2025 Timsen

The National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has taken control of the 'Anka', which entered the port of the temporarily occupied Crimea in violation of Ukrainian law. The ship was handed over to the ARMA for further sale by a decision of the investigating judge on the basis of a petition filed by the SBU Main Directorate in the AR of Crimea within the framework of criminal proceedings on illegal entry into the temporarily occupied territory. The vessel belonged to Russia's shadow fleet. At the end of 2024, it transported 5,000 tons of wheat from the port of Sevastopol, which was stolen in the temporarily occupied territory of southern Ukraine. The 'Anka' is owned by the Fab Petrol Doo, a company registered in Montenegro. The vessel is worth $420,000. Specialists from ARMA's Southern MTU conducted a technical inspection of the vessel, which confirmed that the asset was in good technical condition and ready for further use. Currently, the Interregional Department is collecting all the necessary information about the asset to form a high-quality tender offer.
