Minor collision in Ijmuiden

The historic tug 'Furie' (MMSI: 244710829) was in collision with the 'B.A.P. Unión i' enroute to the SAIL Amsterdam. In the IJmuiden lock on Aug 20, 2025. The 'Furie', made famous by the television series Hollands Glorie in the 1970s, escaped with a broken plank. The tug was moored next to a Finnish sailing ship. When the lock gates opened, a Finnish ship casts off, and the tug's bow was turned in the wrong direction against the starboard side bow of the STS, which was under tow. The damage remained limisted, and the plank, which was damaged, has been replaced, so that the ship could join the parade to Amsterdam during the SAIL.
