Drones attacked tanker and container ship

On July 31, 2026, Ukrainian forces have sunk the sanctioned Russian container ship 'Yanina' (IMO: 9301304) and struck infrastructure at three oil refineries in Bashkortostan. Ukrainian forces also struck targets in the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, including an attack on the 'Bourda'. The unloaded tanker was struck at the starboard side stern near the rudder. After having been temporarily patched, the tanker transited the Bosphorus on Aug 22, escorted by tugs of Coastal Safety, enroute to a repair yard. It dropped anchor near Istanbul in pos. 40° 57' N 028° 46' E. In addition, units of the Security Service of Ukraine attacked infrastructure at three Russian oil refineries in Bashkortostan. The targets were located nearly 1,600 kilometres from Ukraine.
