The "Dornbusch" was detained on July 15, 2026, in Zeebrugge with 23 deficiencies, seven of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention: 1) Certificate & Doc - Seafarers employment agreement Missing 2) Fire safety - Fixed fire exthinguishing installation Inoperative 3) Emergency system - Abandon ship drills Insufficient frequency 4) Life saving appliances - Rescue boats Inoperative 5) Life saving appliances - Launching arrangements for rescue boats Not properly maintained 6) Propulsion and auxiliary machinery - Bilge pumping arrangements Not as required 7) Pollution prevention - Oil filtering equipment Inoperative The vessel was released again on July 24 and left the port enroute to Belfast, where it arrived on July 28. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/199pVLEvBW/

Underway from Hamburg to Fredericia, the "Dornbusch" allided with the middle wall of the large South lock of the Kiel Canal at Brunsbuettel on Sep 7, 2011, at 9.30 a.m. The ship suffered scratches and was allowed to continue after the police had completed the investigations.
