Space X rocket transported on Boskalis vessel to USA

Boskalis has been contracted to transport the 52-m-Space X-rocket, which landed in the Indian Ocean on July 24 and was towed towards Christmas Island, to the USA, using the 'Forte'. The rocket was positioned onto the specially prepared cargo deck, and once it was securely in place, the ship was raised again. The cargo was then fastened to the deck, and the 'Forte' began its voyage to the United States. The vessel was normally deployed to transport large, heavy structures, for instance for offshore projects and the industrial sector. Guangzhou Shipyard delivers the FORTE to Fairstar Heavy Transport

Fairstar Heavy Transport N.V. announced that they have taken delivery of the FORTE, a 216 meter long, 48,000 DWT, DNV-classed heavy lift transport vessel built by Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI). She will be headed to work offshore Australia in the very near future.
