Mon Aug 03 16:12:48 CEST 2026 Timsen

Five Filipino crew members of the 'Inase' arrived in Manila on Aug 1 aboard the Philippine Airlines Flight PR731 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1. Seven other Filipino crew members from the vessel had returned to the Philippines in two separate batches on July 31. DMW Assistant Secretary Maria Regina Angela Galias, together with representatives from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration and the Manila International Airport Authority Medical Team, welcomed the seafarers upon their arrival. The Migrant Workers Office in Bangkok also assisted them during their transit to the Philippines. The DMW and OWWA provided airport and financial assistance, while the MIAA Medical Team conducted health assessments to check the seafarers’ condition upon arrival.Representatives of their licensed manning agency, Sea Gate Navigation Corp., also met the seafarers at the airport. The DMW directed the manning agency to ensure the returning seafarers underwent physical and psychological examinations and participate in post-repatriation debriefing sessions. The ' Inase' meanwhile headed to Yalova for repairs with an ETA as of Aug 1.
