Detention in Shanghai
The 'Jet' was detained in Shanghai after its arrival enroute from Dongjiakou following a Port State Control on April 19, 2026. The inspectos found seven deficiencies, six of which were being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. The inspection was conducted under the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The ship remained stationary as of April 21.
Overflowing oil caused spil
During the bunkering between the "Jet" and the support vessel "SLV-397" at berth No.35 in the port of Nakhodka on Oct 12, 2018, at 01.50 a.m., fuel oil was ejected through a fuel tank air pipe from the cargo vessel and then spilled onto its upper deck and into port waters. The cause of the leak was an overflow from a fuel tank on the "Jet". The estimated oil spill was 200 kilograms, and the spill area covered was about 100 square metres around and alongside both vessels. Oil response teams have commenced cleaning operations and booms have been deployed.
