Luxury yacht grounded off Ponza

In the morning of Sep 9, 2018, the "K" ran aground on rocks off Ponza island in Punta Bianca. Besides the crew, eight Russian tourists were on board the yacht which was sailing in charter of a Russian magnate. A risky driving manoever was thought to have caused the accident when the yacht sailed into shallow waters. The Italian Coastguard deployed the "Ciccio Nero" which took the Russians off. They were transported to Capri gebracht. In the evening the yacht could be refloated and pulled to Ponza.
