Iranian linked tankers designated by US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control

Mon Feb 02 10:19:13 CET 2026 Timsen

The US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has designated nine Iranian-linked tankers, thus limiting their global operations and heightening enforcement risk for associated entities. The sanctioned vessels, the 'Cesaria' (IMO: 9251602), 'Longevity 7' (IMO: 9240885), 'Sea Bird' (IMO: 9088536), 'Avon' (IMO: 9034705), 'Al Diab II' (IMO: 9053816), 'Aqua Spirit' (IMO: 9197727), 'Eastern Hero' (IMO: 9353905), 'Chiron 5' (IMO: 9306665) and 'Keel' have carried crude oil, LPG, condensate, HSFO and naphtha across East and South Asia. Their activity included deliveries to Pakistan, East Asia, the UAE, and Somalia, often using ship-to-ship transfer methods. The move intensified Washington’s efforts to disrupt Iran’s shadow fleet and limit its access to revenue.

Medevac off Scheveningen

Wed Sep 03 09:41:30 CEST 2014 Timsen

In the afternoon of Sep 1, 2014, a crew member of the "Anneleen Knutsen" became unwell and complained about chest pain. The captain of the "Anneleen Knutsen" liaised with the Coast Guard, which in turn contacted the Radio Medical Service and the KNRM. The doctor recommended a medevac of the man from board of the tanker which was anchored in the anchorage area about 6 miles from Scheveningen. The KNRM crew of the station Scheveningen was alerted and dispatched the lifeboat "Kitty Roosmale Nepveu", Three of its crew members prepared the patient for the transport in a stretcher. The lifeboat took him to Scheveningen, where an ambulance was waiting to take the man to hospital.
