Medevac off Bermuda

The 'Kmarin Rigour', enroute from Lisbon to Houston; Texas, diverted to Bermuda on Sep 17, 2025, to transfer a 44 year old crew member in need of urgent medical treatment. At 7:30 a.m. the Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre received a satellite telephone call from the captain, advising they wished to divert to Bermuda to transfer the Indian crew member who had suffered a serious injury to one finger on his hand following an accident onboard, which required attention at a local hospital facility. The tanker, making best speed, arrived in Bermuda waters on Sep 20t at 08:30 a.m. The victim was safely transferred to Ordnance Island by the pilot and rescue boat 'St David' and subsequently taken by ambulance to KEMH for medical treatment. The tanker continued on its way and arrived in Houston on Sep 27.
