Russia attacked civilian ship near Chornomorsk

On the night of April 13, 2026, Russian military forces launched massive Shahed drone attacks on critical infrastructure in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, using drones to strike civilian and port facilities in southern Ukraine. Strike drones attacked the 'Lady Maris', en route to the port of Chornomorsk, to load Ukrainian maize. The attacks caused a fire on board. The crew were unharmed. A Navy boat promptly arrived at the scene to provide assistance. The occupiers also attacked the commercial port of Izmail during the night, resulting in damage to a pier, and a barge. Significant damage was also inflicted on port equipment. Additionally, a maintenance station building was destroyed by the shelling, leading to a subsequent fire.
