Iran claimed attack on tanker

Iran announced on March 6, 2026, that the ' Louis P', sailing in the Persian Gulf, was targeted for being “linked to the US.” According to a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), around midday, the oil tanker was struck by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operated by the IRGC Navy in the Persian Gulf. ran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed the vessel had ignored warnings issued by Iranian military forces before the strike was carried out. However, details regarding the tanker's condition following the incident remained unclear. There have been no reports of casualties or injuries among the crew. An independent confirmation of the incident has not yet been released. The IRGC had previously declared that all American and Israeli assets in the region were considered legitimate targets.
