Fomer BC Ferry put up for sale
The 'Nimpkish', now known as Midcoaster, has been put up for sale. Originally listed for $90,000, it's been dropped to under $75,000. The ferry spent decades moving between the islands on B.C.'s west coast, including routes between Quadra Island and Cortes Island and up to Ocean Falls and Klemtu. It became one of the most widely travelled of the small BC Ferries vessels. During its time in service at BC Ferries, it covered inter-island waters, including between Bella Coola and Port Hardy. The 'Nimpkish' was sold in 2020 by BC Ferries. As a private vessel, it has been used as a work boat and transport platform.
