Two boats sank, and five other vessels and two mooring pontoons on the Danube bank, in the port of Tulcea, were damaged, when the 'S Line' suffered a malfunction in its steering system, while sailing upstream on the Danube river in the Tulcea bend on Aug 31, 2026, at around 5:10 p.m. The ship deviated from the navigation route and allided with port installations and stationary vessels. No injuries or loss of life were recorded, but two small boats sank, three others suffered damage to the hull and superstructure, and two more had their cabins damaged. The waterway was not blocked.
