Former fishing vessel flooded in Burgtiefe
The 'Silverland' flooded on the night of Sep 26, 2025, in Burgtiefe upon Fehmarn. The fire department placed oil booms around the ship to prevent a contamination of the Burg marina. The Burg fire department's new telescopic mast was also deployed. The ship has sunk about half a meter to the bottom of the marina. It has a draft of 2,5 meters, and the water deopth was about three meters The emergency services lifted their rescue boat into the water to place the oil booms directly at the ship. Divers were called assess the damage. Medevac off Großenbrode
A 57-year old leisure fisherman fell on the "Silverland" in the morning of March 15, 2017, and was severely injured in the face. The MRCC Bremen alerted the lifeboat "Bremen" from the DGzRS station at 9.45 a.m. The crew took two rescue assistants on board and left the berth in Großenbrode ith a top speed of 23 knots towards the fishing boat. About two miles southeast of Großenbrode the two ships rendezvoused. The victim was transferred aboard the liefboat where the rescue assistants provided medical assistance. Back ashore, an ambulance took the man to the hospital of Großenbrode.
