Second detention in Aliağa within half a year

The 'Star Light' was detained again, this time at the port of Aliağa, following a Port State Control inspection under the Med Mou Memorandum of Understandingon April 7, 2026. The insepctors found a total of 18 deficiencies, five of which were being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. The vessel remained detained until the identified issues were rectified and it met the required standards. The last detention was the Gabas Steelmill pier in in Aliaga, under the Mediterranean Memorandum of Understanding (Med MoU), from Sep 15-18, 2025.
