The 'Stargazer' has been observed making repeated transits through the Irish Sea on routes between Arkhangelsk and Haifa. The vessel consistently declared its destination as "for orders" during the transit through British and Irish waters, with the destination subsequently updated to Haifa, after clearing the waters of the Irish Sea. AIS anomalies, including spoofing events near Russian naval infrastructure, have been documented on previous voyages. Also the 'Sinegorsk' (IMO: 9261061), appeared to operate a comparable routing pattern on the same corridor.

Engine failure in Annaba

The "Manisa Kristin", en route from Huelva to Gabes, Tunisia, with a cargo of 8614.59 tonnes of iron silicate in bulk, suffered a main engine failure in position 037 18 00 N, 007 22 00 E, in Annaba port at berth No. 14, on Jan 22, 2019, at 4.10 p.m. The connecting rod main bearings of all cylinders were damaged. Three tugs provided assistance.
