Engine room dewatered off Tuzla

The fast rescue boats "Kiyem 1" and "Kegk 2" were dispatched by the Marine Traffic Service in Istanbul as well as the "Kurtama 8" and "Kurtama 10" after the "Toulon" suffered water ingress in the engine room on Mar 7, 2013, while enroute Constanta-Benghazi near Rumeli Lighthouse approximately 10 miles off Aciginda. Also the tug "Söndüren 4" attended while the dewatering of the engine room commened on Tuzla Ancorage where the ship sheltered at 9.20 p.m. The crew of 19 was safe on board. Ukrainian general cargo vessel Toulon had to make an emergency call to Tusla, Turkey, Marmara sea, while en route from Constantsa to Benghazi with 8,546 tons of wheat on board.
