Sailings cancelled due to technical issue

The 'Værøy ', serving on the route Bodø–Røst–Værøy–Moskenes, had to cancel the sailings from Bodø on June 10 at 07.00 a.m. and from Moskenes at 11.00 a,n, due to a technical fault. The ferry 'Landegode' was inserted as a replacement with a sailing from Bodø to the ports of Moskenes, Værøy and Røst at 06.00 a.m.t. Some delays were possible regarding the departure from Bodø.

On June 5, 2026, the Værøy', serving on the route'Bodø–Røst–Værøy–Moskenes, had to cancel the scheduled sailing from Bodø to Moskenes at 4:00 p.m. and the departure from Moskenes to Bodø at 8:00 p.m. due to technical problems. The service from Bodø at 5:00 p.m. was operated as scheduled by the ferry 'Landegode' instead.

Engine failure caused by human error

On May 19, 2017, at 7.10 p.m. the "Værøy" suffered a complete engine sblackout about one hour outside Røst in the Vestfjord and started drifting southward. 25 minutes later, passengers were told that the engines were running again. A human error had caused the entire system on board to be out of order and that the fire alarm went on. The ferry had left Bodø at 4 p.m. bound for Røst and on to Værøy.
