Previously the ferry 'Moby Zaza', the ''World Legacy' was extensively refitted in Singapore prior to assuming its new cruising role. It had cancelled its maiden voyage two days before its scheduled opening on Dec 21, 2025. Passengers also complained of brown tap water, faulty lifts and weak air conditioning. Former ferry berthed at offshore base in Singapore

Sun Nov 30 17:06:52 CET 2025 Timsen

The former 'Moby Zaza' is now called 'World Legacy', though still registered as 'Zaza', being operated by the World Cruises company. The ship left Sembawang on Oct 7, where it had been berthed since Aug 16, and shifted to the Loyang Offshore Resupply Base in Singapore, where it remained stationary as of Nov 30. The ferry was now owned by the Singapore-based venture capital firm Turn Capital, which has founded the shipping company World Cruises. The ferry is now registered in Liberia. The plan is that it will be anchored an hour's ferry ride from Singapore, and 30 to 40 minutes from Malaysia's Johor port.
