Trawler to be sold at auction
The 'Z-47 De Marie Louise', owned by shipping company Nauticaa BV from Zeebrugge, will be sold at public auction in August at the request of creditors. Bids can be submitted via auctionline.be between Aug 1 and 31, 2026, the office of bailiff Axel Leys in Bruges announced. The ship has been laid up in the Ostend Fishing Dock since the end of 2025. The trawler was built in 1992 at the Zeebrugge Shipyards and received a 1,145 kW ABC engine in 2020. For maintenance, the vessel regularly went to Padmos in Stellendam; the crew accommodation was renovated there in 2022. Nauticaa is owned by the Spaniard Pedro Dermit. He also owns the 'Z-48 De Maria Antonia', which falls under shipping company Aegir and has not been fishing for some time. That shipping company went bankrupt in May; the bankruptcy trustee has yet to decide what will happen to that ship.
